Applications & Compatibility
Typical uses include UL product labels, top-side PCB labels, automotive parts, and medical or food equipment that gets cleaned often. The labels are not recommended for IR reflow, acetone, MEK, TCE, or xylene.
A thermal transfer printer and ribbon are required. Zebra recommends its 6200 wax/resin and 5095 or 5100 resin ribbons, and suggests applying labels at 50°F or warmer.
For best results, Zebra suggests running these labels on its desktop, mid-range, or high-performance thermal transfer printers. Adhesion to polyethylene is low, so test on that type of plastic before a full rollout.
