The DS8288 reads traditional 1D codes, common 2D symbols, GS1 Digital Link, Digimarc barcodes, and supported OCR data. Contactless charging eliminates exposed charging contacts, while interchangeable battery and PowerCap options let businesses prioritize maximum runtime or rapid charging.
Zebra PRZM Intelligent Imaging works with a 2 MP sensor, warm-white illumination, and a circular green aiming pattern to support fast first-pass reads. The scanner handles common retail barcodes, high-density symbols down to 3 mil, 2D codes, electronic displays, OCR, GS1 Digital Link, and Digimarc data.
The DS8288 captures a 100% 13 mil UPC barcode from approximately 0.2 to 27.5 inches. Its published range reaches approximately 19 inches for a 20 mil QR Code and 41 inches for a 20 mil Code 39 barcode.
Bluetooth 5.2 offers configurable Class 1 and Class 2 operation. Class 1 provides greater coverage for receiving, pickup, and backroom tasks, while Class 2 may be preferable where scanning should remain close to a specific workstation.
IP52 sealing, 10-foot MIL-spec drop performance, 54 drops from 6 feet, and 2,000 tumbles help the scanner withstand the impacts and spills associated with busy commercial environments.
