The Zebra ET401 enterprise tablet provides a mobile interface for the barcode labeling, inventory, production, and fulfillment systems used across warehouses, manufacturing facilities, retail operations, and transportation networks. Its 8-inch and 10.1-inch formats give employees enough display space to manage transactions, review records, capture barcode data, and initiate label-related tasks from the point of activity.
Optional integrated barcode scanners and RFID allow the ET401 to connect printed labels and tagged assets with warehouse, inventory, and enterprise applications. Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and optional 5G provide the connectivity needed to exchange data with business systems and compatible printing equipment.
Employees can scan incoming product, carton, pallet, and location labels before updating inventory records. The optional SR500 scan engine supports barcode capture in varying lighting conditions, including bright sunlight, while the SE4100 serves standard-range scanning applications.
The 10.1-inch ET401 provides room to view digital work instructions, maintenance records, parts diagrams, and quality-control information. Workers can scan component or work-in-process labels to confirm materials and record production activity.
Warehouse teams can use the tablet to validate products against orders, confirm quantities, document package condition, and communicate with compatible label-printing applications. The 16 MP rear camera supports photographs and occasional barcode capture when a dedicated scanner is unnecessary.
Select ET401 models can read more than 90 UHF RFID tags per second from up to four feet away. Integrated RFID can support cycle counting, shelf inventory, tool verification, and asset identification without requiring employees to carry a separate RFID reader.
The ET401’s IP68 enclosure provides dust and water protection for use around receiving docks, production areas, vehicles, and outdoor facilities. It withstands multiple four-foot drops to concrete, or 5.1-foot drops when protected by the optional rugged frame. An operating range of -4°F to 122°F supports deployment across changing environmental conditions.
The 600-nit WUXGA display can be operated with a bare finger, gloved finger, or conductive stylus. Water-droplet rejection helps maintain touchscreen accuracy in wet environments, allowing users to continue entering quantities, acknowledging prompts, and completing forms without manually switching touch modes.
