18928-EA is a 2" x 0.5" white polypropylene thermal transfer label made for Zebra desktop printers. Each roll holds 3,780 labels on a 1 in. core and measures 5 in. across. The material is Zebra PolyPro 3000T, a 3.0 mil matte film with a permanent acrylic adhesive. It stands up to moisture and handling far better than paper, and it wraps neatly around small, curved containers.
If paper labels aren't lasting and polyester is more than you need, polypropylene labels are a good middle ground on both durability and price. Which Printers Take 18928-EA?
This roll fits any Zebra thermal transfer desktop printer that takes a 1 in. core and a 5 in. roll. If you're shopping for Zebra ZD421 labels or Zebra ZD621 labels, you're in the right place. Compatible printers include the Zebra ZD421, Zebra ZD621 and Zebra ZD230, along with the earlier Zebra ZD420 and GK420t.
Please note: this label needs a thermal transfer printer. Those are the models ending in "t". Direct thermal models, ending in "d", aren't able to print on this material.
What Ribbon Does Zebra PolyPro 3000T Need?
You'll want a Zebra wax/resin ribbon. The Zebra 3200 wax/resin ribbon is the standard match for matte polypropylene labels, and the Zebra 6100 wax/resin ribbon is a good lower-cost option. A wax/resin ribbon keeps your print from smearing on this film, which a plain wax ribbon can't do. Choose a ribbon at least as wide as the label liner.

Polypropylene vs. Polyester Labels
Polypropylene is the softer, more flexible film. That's why Zebra PolyPro 3000T wraps curves so well and costs less. Polyester labels, such as Zebra Z-Ultimate, are stiffer and built for years outdoors, higher heat and harsher chemicals. If your label needs to last for years outside, polyester is the better pick. If you mainly need something tougher than paper, polypropylene is the better value.
Before You Order 18928-EA
- Apply labels to a clean, dry surface at 45°F or warmer. Once they're on, they hold up fine in the freezer.
- Store unused rolls at around 72°F and 50% relative humidity.
- This 1 in. core roll is made for desktop printers. If you run an industrial printer, Zebra PolyPro 3000T also comes on a 3 in. core.
