Every Zebra ZT111 shares the same core specs. What changes from one part number to the next is how it's configured. These are the choices to make:
- Thermal transfer or direct thermal: the ZT111 is sold both ways, and this part number is a Thermal Transfer model. A thermal transfer model prints with a ribbon for longer-lasting labels. A direct thermal model prints without one.
- Print resolution (dpi): 203 dpi is the faster of the two and suits most shipping and warehouse barcodes. 300 dpi gives sharper small text and denser barcodes.
- Media handling: the standard build tears labels off at the front. You can also choose a cutter, or a peel option that presents each label with the liner removed.
- Connectivity: USB, serial, Ethernet and Bluetooth come standard. Wi-Fi is available if the printer won't sit near a network drop.
- RFID: Zebra doesn't list an RFID option for the ZT111. If you need to print and encode RFID labels, the Zebra ZT231 is available with an RFID encoder.
