ZT41143-T5100E0Z is a Zebra ZT411 on-metal RFID printer: a 4-inch thermal transfer industrial printer built to print and encode on-metal RFID tags. It is optimized for Silverline on-metal RFID labels, the thicker tags made to be read when they're stuck to a metal surface, and it has a special printhead to handle them. It prints at 300dpi, up to 4.09 in. wide.

How On-Metal RFID Works on the Zebra ZT411
- Why metal is different: metal reflects and blocks the radio signal an ordinary RFID label depends on. On-metal RFID tags are built with a spacer layer so they can be read while mounted on metal.
- Made for Silverline labels: Zebra's on-metal tagging solution for the ZT411 is optimized to print and encode Silverline on-metal RFID labels, which are far thicker than a standard label.
- Print and encode together: each tag is printed and its chip is written in the same pass, so the printed barcode and the encoded data always match.
- Standards supported: UHF EPC Gen 2 V2.1 and ISO 18000-63.
- Automatic setup: Zebra's Adaptive Encoding Technology selects the best encode settings for the tag you load.

Zebra offers Silverline tags in four sizes. The larger the tag, the farther away it can be read.

How Do You Know If the On-Metal Zebra ZT411 Is Right for You?
- What are you tagging? If the tag goes on metal, such as a tool, a server, a cylinder or a steel rack, you need on-metal tags and this printer. If it goes on cardboard, plastic or most other surfaces, the standard Zebra ZT411 RFID printer is the simpler and less costly choice.
- How far away will you read it? Pick the Silverline tag by read range and by how much room you have on the asset. The Classic reads from the greatest distance, and the Micro fits the smallest items.
- Print resolution (dpi): the on-metal build is offered at 203 dpi and 300 dpi. 203 dpi suits most asset tags, and 300 dpi gives sharper small text.
- Connectivity: USB, serial, Ethernet and Bluetooth come standard on the ZT411. Wi-Fi is available if the printer won't sit near a network drop.

Silverline Printhead, Ribbons and Supplies for the Zebra ZT411
- Silverline printhead: on-metal printers use their own printhead, made for thick Silverline tags. A standard ZT411 printhead is not the right replacement. Shop the Zebra Silverline printhead (203 dpi), part P1088805. If your printer is 300 dpi, ask us for the matching printhead.
- On-metal RFID tags: this printer is set up for Silverline on-metal RFID labels. Ask us for the right size for your assets, or browse our RFID labels.
- Ribbon: Zebra recommends a resin ribbon for Silverline tags, so the print holds up as long as the tag does. Shop Zebra resin ribbons. The printer takes ribbons on a 1 in. core, up to 1,476 ft. long.
